After surveying many students on how they keep track of their progress for NEET, most of them have no clue about that. The most troubling thing is some does not know why they should keep track. They believe in studying on and on. However, some students answered saying that they use Excel or a todo app to keep track of their preparation, which is a very inefficient method as digital devices can be a distraction even when you are trying to study hard for your NEET.

Here we at EAMCET SPACE have designed a minimal tracker for you to score well in your NEET exam.  NEET Tracker can be really efficient for 2022 UG NEET.

Physics under NEET-UG 2022 syllabus is a well-scoring subject if you understand the numerical and practical works behind the various topics in Physics.

With Physics being more mathematical in nature, in comparison to Biology and Chemistry, students must ensure that their basics are strong enough and should spend enough time preparing the subject well.

The NEET physics section has a weightage of 25% in the NEET examination and this should always be kept in mind.  50 Questions will be asked in the Physics NEET. In which you should attend 45 questions. Each question will be carrying 4 marks which sum up to a total of 180 marks in the NEET exam.

Topics that are of high impact in the examination include Semiconductors and Communication systems, Current electricity, Thermodynamics, Dual nature of Light and Matter.

Here in this blog, we would like to give you important study tips for studying Physics for your NEET examination.

How To Study Physics for NEET 2022?

Before You Start

  • Create a special timetable for Physics.
  • Divide your portions and set daily targets.
  • Attend chapter-wise practise test after completing each chapter.
  • Give special attention to numerical in Physics
  • Workout previous year's question papers

Let’s Go

1. Understanding the Syllabus

Understanding the syllabus is essential while preparing for an examination. It’s the same for the Physics NEET 2022 preparation too. If you have a proper idea about the Physics syllabus your work becomes easier. Given below are some NEET preparation tips regarding the syllabus focus.

  • The NEET covers the NCERT topics, so consider the NCERT textbooks as the first option for preparation.
  • Now check all the topics in Physics. Segregate the topics into three types and give them taglines Easy, Medium, and Hard.
  • Easy taglines should include the topics you are proficient in.
  • Medium taglines should include the topics which are manageable at any point in time during preparation.
  • Hard taglines should include topics that are difficult to follow.
  • After having a clear picture of the Physics exam pattern and syllabus, set a target score to achieve.

2. Master the Diagrams in NEET Physics

It is proven that multi-sensory involvement can improve your memory and help in grasping things better. Whenever trying to solve a problem, be it in kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or oscillations, make sure you always draw a rough diagram of the problem. Try to represent the problem visually. Looking at it gives you a better understanding of the problem and will aid in solving the question quicker and more accurately.

3. Learn NEET Physics Formulas

Formulas are an important part of NEET Physics. Learning formulas thoroughly can help you to solve the questions at ease. Memorizing Physics formulas might feel difficult but if you practice more and more questions on a daily basis will help you to learn formulas easily.

Maintaining revision notes is another effective way to memorize formulas, you can highlight the difficult formulas with a colour highlighter so that you can have quick glances. Here you can access the important formulas for NEET physics that are chapter-wise segregated.

4. Experiment with Physics Concepts

Unlike other subjects, physics is literally everything you see right in front of you. If you have a hard time understanding a certain concept like, let’s say, Torricelli’s law, just perform an experiment.

“Take a water bottle, fill it up with water and poke holes at different positions along the vertical of the bottle and there you are! You can now verify Torricelli’s law right in front of you”.

This is just one example where you can use your creativity and the simplicity of physics together to cement your understanding of the subject.

5. Connect the Physics Concepts

In Physics almost every concept is linked/ connected to each other. NCERT has done a beautiful job in presenting this connection in the most natural and fluent way possible.

Make sure you understand that connection. You will relate to the smooth flow that the subject has and be able to connect with what you’re reading on a deeper level. Interlink everything you know, not just in physics but in the other subjects too.

When you’re studying chemistry there are many topics that overlap and try to bridge the connection between these two subjects when learning them both.

6. Do your Math

Sharpening decent math skills can go a long way in getting that perfect 180 in NEET Physics. Math is absolutely essential to understanding physics and numerical abound in the NEET paper. It is one area which you can exploit easily.

If your math is solid, then with a simple understanding of the concept and applying it to your equation, you can confidently arrive at an answer without a second thought. You won’t have to recheck because it’s said that math doesn’t lie! But to get there you need to focus on what is happening when you’re solving a problem.

Recognize patterns. Form shortcuts and Master them.

7. Choose the Best Study Materials for NEET Physics

Choosing the right reference material for NEET 2022 preparation would be a little difficult since there are a lot of materials readily available in the market. Selecting the best among them would be a little tricky. Remember ‘too much of anything is good for nothing, so it is always better to stick to a maximum of two to three study resources that would help you frame a better understanding.

NCERT: NCERT textbooks are the best study material for NEET Examinations since the syllabus is completely based on NCERT textbooks, so give importance to them.

It is a reliable source to practice, revise and understand different concepts of NCERT covering the entire NEET UG syllabus. It contains different test series, lessons, keys and video lectures that can help you in your journey.

Other Books for NEET Physics

1. Concepts of Physics, part 1 and 2 by HC Verma

2. Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker

3. Objective Physics for the medical entrance examination (volumes 1 and 2) by DC Pandey

4. NCERT Exemplar Class 11 and 12

8. Listen to yourself

Your brain through years of evolution has been perfected in the art of finding the simplest answer. And more often than not, the simplest solution is often the right one.

What we are talking about here is the use of good sense. As we have mentioned before, physics is nothing but studying whatever is going on right in front of you. You have already lived in this world for years. So you know what seems natural and what does not. Try to use this intuition to rule out options in the test that just seems impossible!
